The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has designated biogas-based dimethyl ether from Oberon Fuels as a renewable fuel eligible for renewable identification numbers, or RINs.

San Diego-based Oberon said Sept. 3 it was granted approval based on an application filed almost a year ago.
