Logistics Movers: Lowe’s Names Stuart to Run Growing Canadian Supply Chain

lowes_1Gregor Stuart brings 25 years of logistics and supply chain experience to his new role managing supply chain for Lowe’s Canada.

Lowe’s Canada, the Toronto-based unit of Lowe’s Companies Inc.,appointed Gregor Stuart as vice president for supply chain as the home-improvement retailer began an aggressive expansion plan in Canada.

A former vice president of supply chain at Canadian retailer The Bargain! Shop, Stuart has more than 25 years of logistics and supply chain experience, most recently at NBR Consulting, a firm focused on supply chain consulting for retail shippers.

Stuart joins Lowe’s as the company is expanding its store count in Canada from 40 to 54 sites, including 12 additions with the acquisition of former Target Stores Inc. stores across the country. In an announcement last week, the company said it will add a Canadian distribution center in Milton, Ontario, near Toronto, to help manage the flow of goods to its new Canadian stores.
