Kenco Tests Use of Drones for Yard Management

KencoKenco-Drone, a Chattanooga, Tennessee-based logistics firm, said it is exploring the use of drones to manage its warehouse and yard operations.

Kenco said it is working with PINC Solutions to deploy PINC Air, an aerial sensor platform and supply chain drone, at Kenco distribution centers.

“PINC’s sensor platform captures locations of assets and inventory, and can provide up-to-the-minute information that would allow Kenco to customize and segment yard operations based on customer needs and business rules,” Montgomery said in a statement Nov. 4.
