Cummins Road Show Trots Out New Gear and New Leader

cummins1_0_0MISSISSAUGA – Jeff Van Poucke could not have wished for a better debut. The 40-year-old new President of Cummins Eastern Canada—who assumed his presidency May 1—greeted customers and industry VIPs Tuesday and Wednesday under sunny skies surrounded by an array of the diesel company’s latest on-highway gear. Tuesday was a special VIP preview day for the first Canadian stop of the company’s  “Redefining Tour.”

On Wednesday, the travelling exhibition was open to the public, and Van Poucke was on hand again to meet and greet.  The three other Canadian dates are July 21st in Winnipeg; July 24th in Edmonton; and July 27th in Vancouver.

The show features five tractor-trailer combinations representing major class-8 brands powered by a combination of the current ISX15 engine, the Cummins Eaton SmartAdvantage powertrain, and the yet-to-be released 2017 ISX15 engine with the Single Module aftertreatment system.

One of the caravan’s highlights is the interactive show trailer featuring three additional engines: the ISB6.7, the Cummins Westport ISX12 G natural gas engine, and the 2017 ISX15. Digital and interactive displays highlight other products such as ADEPT and Connected Diagnostics.
