Air freight volumes boosted by increased demand in Asia Pacific and the Middle East

airIATA data shows demand, measured in freight tonne kilometres (FTK), grew 4.2 per cent in November 2014 compared to the same month in 2013, with capacity growing by 3.3 per cent. Compared to the previous month air freight demand increased by .8 per cent.

Carriers in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions registered the strongest growth, capturing 93 per cent of the global increase. Demand in the Asia Pacific region rose by 6 per cent and in the Middle East by 13 per cent.
